A leaking shower doesn't always look like one from inside the bathroom. The tiles can be spotless while water quietly runs behind them into the wall frame or under the floor. We start by working out where the water is escaping, which usually comes down to the grout, the silicone joints, the drain connection or the membrane beneath the tiles. Cutting a fresh bead over failed silicone traps moisture underneath and fails again quickly, so the removal matters as much as the replacement.
